Merton Mencap was delighted to be chosen as the charity for fundraising at the first birthday celebration at the Wimbledon Young Professionals Group.

Merton Mencap’s Chief Executive, Andrew Whittington, explains what a difference this support makes to the charity:

“Merton Mencap is a local, independent charity which supports people with a learning disability and their family carers in Merton. Although affiliated to the national Mencap, we receive no funding from them and we are responsible for our own management and raising our own funds. Therefore, we were delighted to be chosen as the charity for the YPG celebration, and we were particularly grateful to all at Morrison’s solicitors for their fundraising efforts which made the raffle such a success".
