Caring for an adult with autism can affect your own life in several ways and we can often prioritise the needs of our family member over that of ourselves. Sandra is here to focus on your needs and connect you to sources of support to improve your emotional, physical and financial wellbeing.
- The workshop will comprise:
- Your rights as a carer to access you own support
- What is a Carers Assessment and how will it help me?
- Organisations locally and nationally that can provide financial,
- emotional or practical support
- Introduction to Avanti CIC (Local Fun group activities for carers of adults
- with mental health needs)
- Questions and answer session
- Closing breathing and relaxation session
The session is appropriate to parents & carers of a family member 18+ with autism.
