The Gables houses adults aged 18-55 with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and sensory impairment. The Supported Living Team from London Borough of Merton provides 24-hour staffing to support the tenants with a focus on community engagement and developing independent living skills. They help with the following:

• Managing a tenancy or license
• Learning daily living skills
• Making financial decisions

Located in Tamworth Lane, Mitcham, The Gables features nine self-contained flats with a kitchenette and bathroom, plus communal areas, including a sensory room, TV lounge, large activity room, laundry facilities, and a shared garden. Part of a Supported Living Service established in 2007, The Gables is one of four sites across the borough, with three offering 24-hour staffing and emergency Telecare support.
