SEND Champions Together.
Supporting families.
Shaping services.
Rooted in co-production.
Merton Parent Carer Forum (MPCF) is Merton’s independent, parent-led forum for families of children and young people aged 0–25 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
We bring parent carers together to share experiences, build connections and ensure parent voices help shape local services, support and decision-making across education, health and care.
At a time of significant national SEND reform, the forum provides opportunities for families to stay informed, have their say and help influence the future of SEND services locally and nationally.
Recent feedback from families highlights the importance of communication, community, parent voice and meaningful co-production. Through surveys, events, workshops and engagement activities, we help ensure lived experience informs positive change.
The forum is led by a volunteer steering group of parent carers. Merton Mencap hosts the forum, providing coordination and administrative support.
